The twelfth edition of the Sartirana Textile Show took place 14-18 September 2016 in the scenic 17th-century rice mill La Pila in Lomellina, Italy and featured a fine selection of rugs and textiles from all over the world. Proud to share my pictures on Hali Magazine
The Sartirana Textile Show will take place 17-20 Septembre 2015 in “La Pila”, the seventeenth-century rice mill in the hearth of Lomellina (Province of Pavia – North Italy).
From 2005, “Sartirana Textile Show” shows a fine selection of rugs and textile from all around the world.
The exhibition is one of the most important trade fair of the antique textile sector. It attracts, in the beautiful setting of La Pila, international dealers, collectors and enthusiasts.
Every year old and new friends meet to exchange ideas and opinions, to talk about the latest findings, new trends in antique textiles and show most valuable and curious objects.
From the beginning, the Sartirana Textile Show represents a point of convergence for the best known exhibitors and experts worldwide from Italy and throughout Europe, United States, the Middle East and even Japan.
Every year, in addition to appreciating the Dealers Fair, visitors can enjoy numerous events and side cultural exhibitions.
The Academic Committee decided that this Conference will have a different format from the previous ones. We wanted to reduce dramatically the number of presentations to a maximum of 20 talks to be delivered in a unique plenary session during two days (Friday and Saturday), including a keynote opening lecture.
We didn’t have the time for a traditional “Call for Papers” and therefore we invited directly selected speakers, giving them a very short notice for submitting their proposals and abstracts. All proposals were intended to fit in the structure drafted, according to a general topic that can be summarised as follows:
“Carpet Studies and Collecting in the 21st century”
