ICOC: 13th International Conference on Oriental Carpets

13th International Conference on Oriental Carpets August 6-9, 2015 | Washington, DC

13th International Conference on Oriental Carpets
August 6-9, 2015 | Washington, DC

The Academic Committee decided that this Conference will have a different format from the previous ones. We wanted to reduce dramatically  the number of presentations to a maximum of 20 talks to be delivered in a unique plenary session during two days (Friday and Saturday), including a keynote opening  lecture.

We didn’t have the time for a traditional “Call for Papers” and therefore we invited directly selected speakers, giving them a very short notice for submitting their proposals and abstracts. All proposals were intended to fit in the structure drafted, according to a general topic  that can be summarised as follows:

Carpet Studies and Collecting in the 21st century
